A Day at TG
Arrival 8:30 a.m.
Morning Session: 9:00am– 3:00pm
Through local excursions and field trips, campers actively engage with food, science, media, water, or sports, depending on the theme of the week.
Lunch: 1:00pm–2:00pm
Be sure to pack a lunch for your child. Due to severe peanut allergies, all peanuts products must be left at home. Any peanut product will be sent home if it is unopened, or thrown away if it is opened. If you are unable to pack a lunch, please give the Camp Coordinator $10 when you drop off your child at TG Learning Center, and we will purchase a meal for your child.
Brain Exercises: 2:00pm–3:00pm
Afternoon sessions from Monday to Thursday focus on fundamentals such as phonics, reading, writing, and research. Classes are divided by grade and taught in small groups. On Fridays, there will be a celebration to commemorate all that we’ve learned and accomplished that week.

Brain Exercises (2:00pm-3:00pm)
These classes are specific to each student’s entering grade level and are designed to help hone foundational skills needed throughout all academics and learning.
Phonics Class (K-1st): Phonics Class is geared towards students who are just learning to sound out letters and words. We will practice the phonetics of letters, the forming of words, and the flow of sentences.
Book Club (2nd-4th): This class is meant to increase literacy through fun and interesting reading activities. Together we will read books, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and debate stories’ plots, themes, characters, and more.
Reading, Writing, Research (5th-up): Students in this class learn and practice how to apply their academic skills to real-life situations. Each week, students will read articles, conduct experiments, write papers, and/or give presentations based on certain topics. They will practice how to ask questions, compile information, draw conclusions, and actively engage in their own learning.

TG Extended Hours Program
Starting at 3:00pm, parents can register their children for either Study Club or TG Academics.
Study Club (3:00-5:00pm)
This option is great for students who need intensive review or would like to get ahead in school. Students who are registered for Study Club study for almost the entire 2 hours, learning and practicing academics through puzzles, games, tests, and worksheets. Teachers aim to assess the needs of each child, and create a personalized learning plan that enforces and expands upon existing skills. Since this program requires more focus and time, students do not have the option of leaving for Taekwondo before 5:00pm.

Students who are registered for TG Academics alternate among studying, socializing, and practicing taekwondo. During study sessions, teachers provide materials to help students review important academic concepts. TG Learning Center has novels, picture-books, blocks, games, outdoor sports, and art supplies available to students when they are not studying.
During this time, students will also be shuttled to and from Taekwondo class if applicable. Students who are already enrolled in TG Taekwondo can continue in their respective classes. New students who are registered for four or more weeks of Summer Camp and/or Extended Horus can start complimentary Taekwondo lessons.
